Directions to Greenhead
On the A75 Dumfries By-pass follow the directions for A76 Kilmarnock and exit on that route.
Leaving Dumfries and less than ¼ mile beyond the end of 40 speed limits, take left on to B729 for Dunscore.
Staying on that road for some 3 miles, bearing right at a fork in the road as you go, the route climbs and becomes tree-lined first on the left and then the right.
Greenhead sits behind the latter and you access by doubling back sharply at the end of the trees, with our signpost then in view. White stones line the verge.
